1 Corinthians 16:5 – 16:7

5After I go through Macedonia, I will come to you—for I will be going through Macedonia. 6Perhaps I will stay with you awhile, or even spend the winter, so that you can help me on my journey, wherever I go. 7I do not want to see you now and make only a passing visit; I hope to spend some time with you, if the Lord permits.

Paul was on a journey.  He didn’t dig in and stay one place during his ministry.  He moved around, I think as the spirit moved him.  He was a letter writer and his works became some of what we read in the new testament of our Bibles.  Each work is a different chapter.  Each chapter is a different place. Rejoice

Thursday, July 16th, 2009

Holy and wonderful God, give me ears to hear the sound of the birds with song, the voices of children playing, and the universal music of the spirit.  Let me rejoice in all you have done.  I feel so blessed. Praise to you God.  Amen

Bring Joy

Monday, July 13th, 2009

Nehemiah 8:10  Do not grieve, the joy of the LORD is my strength.

In the bible, joy is referenced over 200 times.  Difficulties in life, negative people, and being off balance can squish the joy right out of us.  We must find and keep the joy in each day.  Take it with us in our spirits always.

Psalm 51:12  Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit to sustain.

If you have never been there, you don’t get it.  How can people be depressed?  About 10 years ago, five of my family members died within an 18 month period to include my only sibling and my dad.

You think if you are a Christian, or spiritual person, you shouldn’t feel this way.  You go through all the rationalizations of your faith, and your beliefs. (more…)

Be A Blessing 2009-075

Father God, walk with me this day and let me be a blessing.  Let me bring comfort to someone who needs a kind word.  Let me pray on behalf of someone who cannot pray for themselves.  Let the joy of the Lord be my strength.  Let me be graceful and creative.  Let me be a blessing.  Amen

Today I Am Grateful

Wednesday, July 1st, 2009

Today I am so grateful that many American servicemen and women will be coming home from Iraq.  I know some will remain in an advisory capacity, but I want them all to come home.

Holy God, I lift up the men and women who are coming back to the United States after serving in a war with a vague enemy.

I would pray also for the souls of all those who perished.  Help those who return to assimilate back into a peace-time country.  Let them find the help they need to adjust to time with family and find peace in their spirits. Let them know they are appreciated and respected.  Amen
