After a Colorado storm
Gracious God, help us to find the purpose and hope of our calling. Work with us and guide our steps. Amen

Willows bent and shaped
In our minds we work it all out. Sometimes being flexible and open to other ideas can be better. It seems that some folks are quite rigid while some are like cooked spaghetti and all over the place. Which one are you? Are you something in between?
The Unity Minister Catherine Ponder always suggests we ask that God’s unlimited good will be done in our lives in prayer. Also when we ask for something specific, to say “This or something better, Father”. In this way we are not limiting God. I do ask for very specific things when I pray and don’t usually add the qualifier. In the Lords prayer it does state “Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done.” You hear people say, “God willing”.
Holy and powerful God. I would open my heart and mind today to the unlimited good you have for my life. I am grateful that you care so much for me and your blessings for my life are far greater than I can even imagine. Let me be flexible and able to bend without breaking. Shape my life. Amen
In the society we live, it can be difficult to find rhythm in our lives. Rarely do we say that we are simply taking a day off. Even a day off from work involves other tasks, chores or appointments of a personal nature. We are driven and think we must be super productive all the time.
Taking a day off, without any plan for working can be a restorative and healing time for our spirits.
Father God, help us to realize the value of taking a day of rest each week. Let us be renewed and restored by it. Our obsession with work and productivity and endless lists of things to do are not nearly as important as we think sometimes. We get so busy and focused that we fail to notice the wonder and small miracles that surround us each day. Be with us God, and keep us healthy and whole. May we find peace and a rhythm of the seasons for our lives. Amen

Colors Of Life
For nine years I had a children’s music company and I created educational programs with original songs. I played music in schools and community programs every day for thousands of children. It was a lot of work and a lot of fun.
I wrote a song called, “I Will Bring Love”. It was a song about what you would need to take with you to travel through life. Before starting the song I would ask children what they would take, if they were going on a long trip. This is the land of consumerism and you could tell by the enormous lists of things children felt they needed to bring along. (more…)

Off road testing in Stucksville
Sometimes you feel stuck. Where is the hope and joy? How do we make a change where each day is filled with excitement and possibility?
My friend Aaron recently purchased a used jeep. He was so happy to get this jeep. Once you have a vehicle capable of going off road, it must be tried out. The following photo is the result of the off road test. It had been raining hard at the time of the incident and the soil is expansive clay. I have driven several jeeps over the years and sometimes you go to Stucksville. Even if you tell yourself you won’t. (more…)
Check out Seekerville today. It is where I am hanging out and telling a story to the wonderful fiction writers who also hang out there.
